In early March we went to Iowa City to visit some wonderful college friends. It was Ellie's first big road trip, and she did great! I was a curious to see how she would handle the 3 hour drive, but she slept the whole way. We had an awesome lunch with the whole group- 8 adults, 3 kids and 3 babies- and it actually went really well! It was so nice to catch up with everyone. So much has changed since we all left Iowa City, but it's nice to know that we can pick right up where we left up when we're reunited!
We were also able to meet up with our friends Greg & Kinsey for dinner. Ellie had a minor meltdown at their house, but regrouped quickly! It was so nice to see them and sweet not-so-little-anymore Garrison.
After dinner, we took Eleanor to her first hockey game in Cedar Rapids! Our friend Larissa works for the hockey team, so we got to sit in one of the suites! It was a lot of fun!
We stayed with Larissa & Brian that night, and we all went to church on Sunday. The Hoberts were in town to give an update to Parkview on their church plant in Madison. Then we hit the road back to Woodstock! Ellie did great on the trip home too, sleeping the whole way! What a champ!
